Fitz Roy,
from your bed.
The bed faces the big window, with the wood stove a step away. You wake up with the mountain right in front of you.
There's no
signal here.
No wifi, no mobile data. What you will hear is the stove, the wind in the lengas and the stream behind the domes.
We chose it this way from the start. Power is solar, and every dome has USB ports for your phone or camera. Let your family know before you come.
This is Eco Domes.
The domes, the forest, the food and the mountains close by. Tap a photo to see it larger.
The hot tub, for after the walk.
Nine kilometers to the lake, nine back. And at the end, a wooden hot tub heated over a wood fire with a cold plunge beside it, out in the open air, facing the mountains.

For after the 18 km there and back.

The trail starts at your dome.
We have been here
since 2014.
We were one of the first places to take guests on this side of the valley, fifteen kilometers from town, where the pavement ends.
The idea was to host people without spoiling the place. So the domes are light, set on eight hectares of lenga forest and streams, with solar power, wood heating and no wifi.
Our story

Breakfast and dinner
facing Fitz Roy.
Seventy-eight square meters of wood and glass looking at Fitz Roy. Breakfast before the trail, dinner when you get back. Outside, Patagonian lamb cooks for hours on the asador, over a wood fire.
Everything you need to know.
How to get here, what the stay includes, and a few things worth knowing first.
We're 15 km from El Chaltén on Route 41, on the way to Lago del Desierto. For stays of 2 nights or more there is a complimentary transfer from the Patagonia Hikes office (Arrúa 505): arrival between 2 and 5 pm, return at 10 am. Please request it 48 hours in advance. If you prefer, we can call you a taxi.
Really, and on purpose. No cell service, no internet: let the people who matter know before you come. Without a connection, some card payments may not go through, so it's worth planning for.
Each dome has its own solar power, at 12 V, so you'll find USB ports. To charge anything that doesn't run on USB, there are the shared domes.
It depends on the rate: some include full board, which adds a three-course dinner in the Dining Dome (drinks are extra). If you have any dietary restrictions, let us know and the kitchen will adapt.
Check-in from 3 pm. Check-out by 10 am, in time to set out on the trail.
Pets are not allowed. Guests under 18 stay in the same dome as an adult.
